Violinist Jack Freed Dies
Jack Freed, 140 The Terrace, a violinist and music teacher, died suddenly today of an apparent heart attack at his home. Mr. Freed, a native of Poland, was 65 years old and had lived in Redlands for two years.
He was a member of the Hollywood Musicians Local 47 and of the San Bernardino Musicians Local and was active in the Redlands Chess club program.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Olive Freed of Redlands; a daughter, Miss Ann Freed of Philadelphia, Penna.; a brother, David Freed of Salt Lake City, Utah; and three sisters in Philadelphia, Penna.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Memorial Park with Rev. John D. Foerster, pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial chapel is in charge of services.
