Finklestein Wins His B.A.
New York-Jerome Lee Finkelstein of Long Branch, N.J., is a June graduate of Columbia College, the men's undergraduate liberal arts school of Columbia University.
He was one of 600 seniors of the college who received the bachelor of arts degree from Dr. Grayson Kirk, president of the University, at commencement exercises marking the close of Columbia's 209th academic year.
Finkelstein is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Saul Finkelstein, 483 Bath Ave., Long Branch. He was graduated from Long Branch High School, where he was a member of the chess, debate, and science clubs and a staff member of the school yearbook.
He holds a General Motors National Scholarship to attend Columbia, where he has majored in physics.
