Starr P. Walter, prominent Cincinnati broker and esteemed member of the Cincinnati Chess Club expired suddenly, Tuesday, May 19. Although Mr. Walter had been ill for some time, his ailment was not considered serious and his death was quite unexpected.
Mr. Walter loved the game of chess and was an enthusiastic champion of the ability of the great Cuban Chess Player, Jose Capablanca, former chess champion of the world.
Mr. Walter's many chess friends mourn his passing and extend their sympathy to his bereaved widow and daughter.
