Thomas Fries Claims Bride in Southland
The Newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Fries (Joanne F. Chapman) are at home in Los Angeles following their wedding last month in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hollywood, Los Angeles County, and a honeymoon in Las Vegas, Nev.
The new Mrs. Fries, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chapman of Syracuse, NY, was graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. A registered X ray technician, she is employed in Los Angeles.
Fries is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George J. Fries. He was graduated from the Fresno High School and Fresno State College and received a masters's degree in public administration from the Claremont Graduate School in Claremont, Los Angeles County. The bridegroom is employed as an assistant district director by the Los Angeles County Bureau of Public Assistance.
For her wedding Miss Chapman selected a street length white brocade dress fashioned with short sleeves and a scoop neckline. A pearl headpiece secured the bride's veil in place.
Miss Chapman carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis.
