Group photo of challengers featured in the 1966 Piatigorsky Cup Tournament. Samuel Reshevsky is missing. Jacqueline Piatigorsky stands at center. Initially, there were difficulties securing participation of Soviet players, Boris Spassky and Tigran Petrosian, so invitations were dispatched to competitors from other countries. Ultimately, the Soviet participants were permitted to compete.
