FRANCIS BURKES FETED ON ARRIVAL FROM EAST
Some 200 guests assembled on the stone patio of Mrs. Oliver Glenn's home in Burbank yesterday to greet Mr. and Mrs. Francis Leandro Wolfskill Burke who arrived in Los Angeles on Saturday. The young couple, who were married at St. Agnes Temple, Cooperstown, N.Y., have been honeymooning in Canada and Sun Valley. They will make their home here.
Cohosting at the reception with Mrs. Glenn were the bridegroom's cousin, Mrs. Duncan Puett, and his half sister, Mrs. Vincent Swackenberg. A sixth-generation Californian, his great-great-great-grandparents were on the first boat to arrive in San Francisco from Spain and his great-great-grandparents were one of the first couples to have their marriages recorded in Santa Barbara.
He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burke of this city, a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pablo DeAyala of Montecito and the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Burke of Dublin, Ireland.
His bride is the former Miss Alberta Baldwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane L. Baldwin of Cooperstown. They met when he was stationed with the Army in Washington, D.C. This is her first visit here.
