MASTERS EXHIBIT
Svetozar Gligoric of Yugoslavia faced 39 opponents in simultaneous play at the City Terrace Club, 1126 N Hazard St. He won 30 games, but could not get by the others, losing to George Hunnex, Ralph Syvertsen and Allan Troy, and drawing with Alvin Baker, Dr. V. Chobotov, Peter Ganine, Rudy Katzl, Yury Oganesov and Ron Pease.
Miguel Najdorf of Argentina tackled 38 opponents at the Recreation Center in Santa Barbara, including two blindfold games. He lost one of the latter to Dr. Benjamin Weininger, champion of Santa Barbara. Najdorf won 36 games, and allowed one draw to Bill Corliss.
