Brunnemer Still Champion
After winning the New Jersey State championship three times in succession, John W. Brunnemer of Westwood, formerly of Brookly, was not given the opportunity to defend it this year, inasmuch as no meeting of the State association was held. However, he kept in practice by playing a number of times in the matches of the Chess Club International in the Metropolitan Chess League. He disposed of H. Steiner, one of the strongest members of the Hungarian Chess Club.
