Toronto, Aug 23.—(CP)—Largest advance registration ever made for the Dominion chess championship indicated to-day the 1938 tournament will have a record number of entries when it opens here September 2, to conclude a week later.
Boris Blumin of Montreal who tied for third place last month at Boston for the United States championship will defend his Canadian title. Other Montreal entrants include Philippe Brunet and Dudley W. LeDain.

This ongoing work is a tribute to the life and accomplishments of Robert “Bobby” Fischer who passionately loved and studied chess history. May his life continue to inspire many other future generations of chess enthusiasts and kibitzers, alike.
