Mayor's Son To Support Wallace's Presidential Bid
Strong supporter of George Wallace for President
…will be Richard E. Burry, son of the Fort Lauderdale Mayor
Wilton Manors—Richard E. Burry, son of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Edmund R. Burry, will be one of this area's strong backers of Alabama Governor George Wallace's bid for presidency.
“I would be willing to do anything asked of me to further such a (Wallace-for-President movement,” Burry, of 2365 NW Fifth Ave., Wilton Manors, said.
Burry, who recently bought Wallace-for-President signs for his car and for his wife's, conceded that his father prefers another candidate —Richard M. Nixon.
Referring to the sign on the front of his car, Burry said, “I stand where my mouth is, and my mouth stands where I am.”
