Born in London, England, 31 years ago, and has been playing chess since he was 18. Is a well-known attorney by profession, at Winnipeg, Manitoba. His record in tournaments follows: W. C. A., 1905, second; 1906, fourth, 1907; fifth; 1909, sixth. Western Canadian tourney, 1904, third; 1905, second, and first in 1907-8-9-10. Winnipeg Chess Club champio, 1907-8-9-10. A record to be proud of.
