Mrs. Margaret Blake
Following a heart attack, Mrs. Margaret Blake, of 1291 Ouellette avenue, died yesterday at her home. She was 83 years of age.
Mrs. Blake suffered a stroke in February. However, she recovered considerably since then and her death came as a surprise yesterday.
Born in London, England, she came to Canada 33 years ago. She lived in Victoria, Brandon, and Calgary before moving to Windsor from Toronto three years ago. Her husband, Charles Phillip, died in 1883 in England.
Mrs. Blake was a member of the Unitarian Church, Detroit.
Surviving is one son, Major Charles Blake of the department of pensions, Windsor.
Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Chapen's Funeral Home, 659 Victoria avenue, with Dr. August Record, pastor of the Unitarian Church in Detroit, officiating. Burial will be in Windsor Grove Cemetery.
