Chess Expert Plays Dozen Games at Once
Mr. Charles Blake, chess enthusiast and former champion of Western Canada, played 12 simultaneous games at a public meeting of the Border Cities Chess Club, in the local Y.M.C.A., Wednesday evening. Of the 12 games, he won nine and lost two. One game was drawn. In the above picture, Mr. Blake is shown, standing, at the extreme left.
