How The Russians Play.
Games From St. Petersburg.
The next international tourney will start on Dec. 15, at St Petersburg.
Jose Capablanca will be the representative from Cuba and in all probability Frank Marshall will represent America.
Marshall has received an invitation from P. P. Sabowruff which he is expected to accept. Russia can boast of a number of expert players and Rubinstein the champion has an international reputation.
In view of the coming tourney the games below will be reviewed with interest.
The first one from La Stratergie, is a selection from the recent tourney played at St. Petersburg, and the other occurred between Alechine and Loewenfisch in tourney play.
The latter game is especially interesting on account of its ending.
